Following our first on-ground implementation on December 9, 2025 in Malabon where Project ARES, together with PDAO Malabon City and Kasali Tayo, gathered Malabueño youth for Lead, Include, Protect: Youth Leadership for Comprehensive Community DRRM the journey continued beyond borders.
Last December 21, Project ARES moved into its second leg through an in-person training in Laos, in partnership with PDDAs Xiengkhouang and the students of Lone Buffalo. Building on the same framework, youth leaders deepened their understanding of local hazards, inclusive preparedness, and their responsibility to protect communities especially persons with disabilities—before, during, and after disasters.
Supported by the US Embassy Kuala Lumpur, YSEALI, and the YSEALI Summit, Project ARES continues to prove that disaster resilience is strongest when youth lead, inclusion is intentional, and no one is left behind.
