“To take meaningful action, youth must know their partners.
This is where stakeholder mapping helps.
Stakeholder mapping simply means identifying:
Who needs to be involved,
Who has influence,
Who has information, and
Who can help make plans inclusive.
For inclusive DRRM, stakeholders may include:
- Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), in the Philippines
- Local DRRM Council and Leaders
- School and community-based DRRM teams
- Health center or clinic
- Local rescuers or firefighters
- Persons with disabilities and organizations of persons with disabilities (OPD) leaders
- Parents, teachers, and community volunteers
Youth don’t need to solve everything alone.
Stakeholder mapping shows you who can help, who to coordinate with, and who can amplify your advocacy.”
